About these terms
These terms govern use of this website and the process for requesting information from Generator Power Limited. The website explains household backup-power concepts and allows visitors to ask about petrol generator options. Sending an enquiry does not itself create a sale, reserve stock or commit either party to a purchase.
If you later decide to buy equipment, the specification, price, delivery information and any additional purchase terms will be confirmed before a contract is formed.
Product information and suitability
Generator output, sockets, engine specification, runtime, noise, dimensions and other characteristics vary between units. Any reference configuration on the website is included to explain a class of equipment and should not be assumed to be the specification of every product available from £199.
You are responsible for accurately describing your intended use. Electrical loads, motor starting currents, connection arrangements and operating conditions can materially affect suitability. Where installation to fixed household wiring is contemplated, appropriate professional electrical advice should be obtained.
Pricing and availability
Prices shown as “from” prices relate to selected options and may change with specification, stock, delivery requirements and other commercial factors. A current price is confirmed when we respond to your enquiry or provide a quotation. Availability is not guaranteed until expressly confirmed.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a quotation, website content is an invitation to request information rather than an offer capable of immediate acceptance.
Safe use
Petrol generators must be operated strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. They produce carbon monoxide and must not be operated inside a home, garage or other enclosed or partly enclosed space. Exhaust should be kept away from doors, windows and vents, and users should follow applicable electrical-safety guidance.
Do not connect a portable generator to household wiring by plugging it into a wall socket. Fixed connections require appropriate transfer equipment and competent installation. These terms do not replace the operating manual supplied with equipment.
Orders, payment and delivery
Where a purchase is agreed, the order process, accepted payment method, delivery charges and expected dispatch or delivery arrangements will be confirmed before payment is taken or a binding order is accepted. We may decline an order where stock is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, delivery is not practicable or the intended use appears unsuitable.
Any statutory consumer rights that apply to the purchase of goods remain unaffected.
Consumer cancellation rights
Where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply to a distance sale, consumers generally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning after delivery of goods, subject to the regulations and any applicable exceptions. Details relevant to a particular purchase will be supplied with the contract information.
If goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet rights provided by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, statutory remedies may apply. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Website use and intellectual property
You may use the website for personal, lawful information-gathering. You must not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, use content deceptively or reproduce substantial parts for a competing commercial service without permission.
Text, layout and other protected material remain subject to applicable intellectual-property rights.
Liability
We take reasonable care with the information provided, but household electrical requirements vary and website content cannot replace a site-specific assessment, manufacturer instructions or professional electrical advice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by misuse, unsafe installation, operation contrary to instructions or reliance on an unsuitable specification.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
Events beyond reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, which may include severe weather, transport disruption, supplier failure, shortages, industrial action or interruption of communications. Where such an event affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to communicate the position.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the law applicable to Generator Power Limited’s UK operations, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. We may update these terms where the service, legal requirements or operating process changes. The current version is the version published on this page.
